LPA Addition of soluble Altuglas® acrylic-styrenic beads into Unsaturated Polyester Resins is able to minimise the shrinkage during curing. Atuglas® offers a wide choice of solubility and performance: Altuglas® BS 510- BS 520-BS 440-BS 215- BS 684-BS 645. View our Applications (PDF).
Matting agent for TP Altuglas® acrylic beads with various size can be mixed with most of thermoplastic polymer in extrusion or injection moulding to achieve relevant surface effect and pleasant visual appearance (anti-reflex, light diffusion, surface hardness...) Recommanded grades for this application: Altuglas® BS 130- BS 100- BS 110 (small size beads) and BS 572 (large size beads.) View our Applications (PDF).
Matting agent in coating Small size insoluble Atuglas® acrylic beads can be easily dispersed in most coating systems to provide a wide range of physical caracterisitics as well as impressive decorative effects (mat, textured, shining, soft-touch...). Altuglas® BS 130-BS 100- BS 150N- BS 110. View our Applications (PDF).
Porous moulds The leading industrial technology for ceramic moulding is based on moulds in porous acrylic material obtained by polymerisation of special resin of methylmethacrylate monomer + acrylic beads. Recommended grades for this application: Altuglas® BS 510, BS 520 (soluble beads) or Altuglas® BS 150N (small size bead to optimise final porosity.) View our Applications (PDF).
Dental The well known technology to produce dental prothesis or similar products is based on curable resins made of methylmethacrylate monomer + acrylic beads. Quality of ingredients are essential for perfect performance and reproducibility of formulations: Altuglas® BS 150N matches all requirements of this application. View our Applications (PDF).
