Low Profile Additives for polyester unsatured resins
Addition of soluble Altuglas® acrylic-styrenic beads into Unsaturated Polyester Resins is able to minimise the shrinkage during curing. Altuglas® offers a wide choice of solubility and performance: Altuglas® BS 510- BS 520-BS 440-BS 215- BS 684.

Matting agent for thermoplastic polymers
Altuglas® acrylic beads with various size can be mixed with most  thermoplastic polymer in extrusion or injection moulding to achieve pleasant surface and optical effect (anti-reflex, light diffusion, surface hardness...) Recommended grades for this application: Altuglas® BS 130- BS 100 (small size beads) and BS 572 (large size beads)

Matting agent in coating
Small size insoluble Altuglas® acrylic beads can be easily dispersed in most coating systems to provide a wide range of physical properties as well as impressive decorative effects (mat, textured, shining, soft-touch...).
Altuglas® BS 130 - BS 100 - BS 150N.

Porous moulds
The leading  technology for ceramic casting is based on moulds in porous acrylic material from polymerisation of special resin of methylmethacrylate monomer + acrylic beads.
Recommended grades : Altuglas® BS 510, BS 520 (soluble beads) and Altuglas® BS 150N (small size bead to optimise final porosity)

Mineral composites
Altuglas® beads are perfect ingredients in acrylic mineral composites from Solid Surface to Floor Coating. A large range of grades to match all requirements : Altuglas BS 520, 510, 215 and others.

Binder in resins and coating
Altuglas® beads, with a wide range of composition and solubility, can be used as binder in solvent and curable formulations as coating, resins, glues and composites.
