Altuglas International will present at Fakuma* Fair its new Altuglas® resins range with enhanced chemical resistance and its new very high impact PMMA grade

Altuglas International has developed a new range of Altuglas® resins that offer enhanced resistance to chemical attack. Three grades are now available, depending on the final properties required: Altuglas® CR 8, Altuglas® CR 12 and Altuglas® HCR 3.

Altuglas® CR 8 and Altuglas® CR 12 offer good resistance to chemicals and good impact resistance. Altuglas® CR12 has the highest shock and chemical resistance properties. Altuglas® HCR 3 offers very high chemical resistance, good thermal properties and excellent surface hardness.

They can be formed by extrusion or injection and are recommended for such applications as bathroom fittings (meeting the EN 13559 standard), automotive body parts and furniture (very high resistance to cleaning agents), as well as cosmetic packaging (very high resistance to perfume liquors).

Altuglas International has also recently enriched its PMMA range offering a combination of high fluidity and impact properties (HFI serie) by adding a very high impact resistant grade, Altuglas® HFI 15. This grade has been approved for applications such as lighting, building and automotive parts (windshields). It is the highest impact resistant grade among the Altuglas ® acrylic resins.

All these grades retain the basic properties of transparency, durability and surface hardness that have built the reputation of all Altuglas® acrylic grades.
