Altuglas International, a global leader in PMMA.
Altuglas International is a Business Unit of Arkema. It manufactures and markets more than a quarter of the world’s production of PMMA.
In Europe, Africa and Middle East Altuglas International markets Altuglas® acrylic resin and sheet, as well as Repsol Glass® acrylic sheets and Tuffak® Polycarbonate sheet. Altuglas International offers include a range of Surfaces Products, Beads and Auxiliary Products.
Since March 2008, the Repsol YPF group's PMMA sheet and block business has been integrated to Altuglas International
This activity is now a part of our PMMA and Methacrylics business unit. This acquisition allows Altuglas International to bolster its position as European leader in the European PMMA sheet market..

Recyclable products
Since PMMA is, by nature, a recyclable product, the aim of research centres is to facilitate recycling so that it eventually becomes an everyday practice.
Whatever the manufacturing process used, a recycling system is set up at all Altuglas International plants. This system exists upstream and downstream of production. For example, in manufacturing extruded sheet, there are inevitably off-cuts when each sheet is cut. These off-cuts can be re-used and returned to the production cycle.
Downstream, products "at the end of their useful lives", such as baths or vehicle rear lights, can be reused and given a new lease of life.
